We are an established dog daycare and boarding company based in North and South Seattle. We have a large and well established client base.
Dog Handler Job Description – No experience required – training provided. BE ABLE TO USE A COMPUTER. BE A PEOPLE PERSON AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DRIVEN.
To start any dog handler must be able to handle multiple dogs in a pack environment. Duties of a dog handler are as follows:
1. Monitoring play times and exercise times
2. Cleaning up urine and feces
3. Sanitizing areas
4. Doing laundry
5. Washing dog bowls
6. Data entry via computer or tablet
7. Taking photos for customers
8. Pre-feeding and feedings for breakfast, lunch and dinners
9. Storing dog belongings in an organized manner and labeling all contents
10. Maintaining Kennel Cards and sheets
11. Bathing dogs of various sizes
12. Nail trims
13. Give medications to dogs at proper times
14. Cleaning Kennels
15. Remember dog names
16. Maintain safety protocols for dogs and staff
17. Log and report to management any discrepancies and bad behavior of dogs
18. Log and report to management any injuries or accidents or medical issues
19. Mop floors
20. Keep play area clean
21. Discourage dogs of bad behavior
22. Discourage jumping, leash pulling, growling and aggression
23 .Keep accurate records
24. Answering phones, emails, and talking directly face to face with customers in a positive energetic way
Dog handler requirements @ the Dog Resort
1. Be 18 years or older
2. Be eligible to work in the United States and speak English
3. Be a team player
4. Be able to work independently.
5. Communicate with management
6. Good customer service to clients.
7. Be able to multi-task
8. Ability to handle different breeds of various sizes
9. Ability to remain calm

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED HANDLING DOGS IN A LARGE GROUP BUT YOU CAN’T BE AFRAID OF THE DOGS!!!!
Be available for any shift: overnight, mornings & afternoon/evenings. Be available weekend. Work 5-6 days depending on amount of work. Overtime is possible. Holidays are a must as we take a large amount of dogs for boarding on holidays.

COVID-19 considerations:
Due to COVID-19, at this time we can only have staff, dogs, and interviewee’s inside the building as we must remove our masks when working with the dogs due to mask aggression.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
